Description: “Now boarding at: Downtown Berkeley. This is a red line train to: Ribbitmond.” is how I imagine the overhead announcement at this Bay Amphibian Rapid Transit station. Like how BART brings humans together, here I imagine how BART could bring amphibians together, whether it’s a salamander couple taking their eggs to a health checkup, a frog commuting for work, or a caecilian waiting for a family member. I aimed to capture the experience of navigating around and with fellow travelers in the bustle of reaching end destinations. Amphibians have places to be too, after all.

She chose to do it in black and white to accentuate its markings and the folds of its skin. Based on the original photo, she believes the frog to be a full grown male, around 4 years old. Isla has been fascinated by frogs for years and is known as the Froggy Queen at school!
